BILL WANNAN 1915-2003

Also William Fielding Fearn-Wannan, journalist and author who collected folk stories, yarns, songs, poems and other lore mainly from correspondents to his Australasian Post column, ‘Come In Spinner’ (1955-1980). He also published much of this material in a series of best-selling books, beginning with The Australian: Yarns Ballads and Legends of the Australian Tradition (1954).
