Musician, dancer and folklorist, Peter Ellis was an energetic and successful popularisrer of traditional dance and music through collecting, performing and extensive publication, most notably his Collector’s Choice series, vols 1-3 (1986) and Two Hundred Dancing Years, with Shirley Andrews (1988).
