ALEX (Alexander Stewart Ferguson) HOOD 1935-2025
Musician, actor, author Alex Hood, often together with his partner, Annette, travelled and performed widely at schools, festivals, clubs, radio, television and on film from the 1950s. During his travels he collected folklore and oral history in New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
As well as his own collections, and those made with Annette Hood (nee James), held in the National Library of Australia, Alex Hood was the subject of many recorded interviews with other collectors, recordings of which are also held in the National Library of Australia.
